[ENTERTAINMENT] 10 HALLOWEEN MOVIES TO WATCH THIS OCTOBER!

It is finally the month of October and you all know what that means, its time to get spooky. What better way to do that than to cuddle on a couch with a big comfy blanket with friends and family and watch some of the best Halloween movies we all know and love.

I don’t know about any of you but I can not help but watch some of my favorite childhood Halloween movies every October with some of my bestfriends while snacking on Halloween cookies of course! Because I am such a lover of Halloween movies, I decided to share 10 Halloween movies I cannot go without watching during the month of October.

After looking at Seventeen Magazines “42 Best Halloween Movies Ever”, I decided to chose 10 of my favorite from that list. I promise you will not regret tuning into these.

Paranormal Activity (2009)

If you love the idea of paranormal activity, ghosts, and spirits then this is definitely one for you! This movie follows a couple  and the supernatural activity that occurs to them in their house. Watching the couple try to get rid of the evil presence that wants to take over their life will have you clinging to the edge of your seat during every scene!

The Haunted Mansion (2003)

Who doesn’t love Eddie Murphy ? I know I do! This corky little Halloween movie was definitely one to remember, and one I don’t think you would forget! Follow this family as they get stuck at this creepy old mansion on their way to their family vacation. YIKES!

Matilda (1996)

This one is an oldie but definitely a goodie. As you follow the unlucky life of Matilda and her journey of trying to learn how to use this power she has just realized she holds you wont help but fall in love with this heartwarming storyline.

Twitches (2005)

We all love these twin witches! Watch these twin sisters, played by the Mowry twins, find each other for the first time and realize that they are not only twins but witches. Watch as they defeat the dark shadow and reunite with their mother, all while learning the story of their past.

Halloweentown (1998)

This movie is the first out of the Halloweentown series and has become a Disney classic. It is the start of three siblings finding out that the holiday that has been hated so much in their household is actually in their genes. Once they learn that their grandmother is a witch that lives in a place called Halloweentown, it opens up a lifetime of possibility for them.

Hocus Pocus (1993)

Okay, if you didn’t know it is actually the 25th anniversary of Hocus Pocus which means all the reason why it should be on your movie list this October, not to mention it is a Halloween classic. This movie will definitely give you a good laugh and includes all of the Halloween stereotypes you can imagine.

Carrie (2013)

This classic is definitely more on the creepier side, but one I actually love very much! The movie follows a young girl who is considered to be a loner and someone who gets bullied quite often in school, but when she finds out she has powers, she undoubtedly gets her bloody revenge.

Get Out (2017)

Get out is a more recent one, and a movie I did not have on my Halloween list, but when I saw it on the seventeen magazine list, I was actually happy to add it on. This movie has become one of my favorites and portrays the institutionalized racism that exists in America today. This follows a young black man named Chris, and his journey meeting his white girlfriends family. Lets just say getting out of the sunken place will be a lot harder than he expected!

Monsters Inc. (2001)

This movie has definitely become an American favorite, and don’t let the big scary monsters fool you, this is one of the most loving Halloween movies ever. Watch these ghosts who have a duty to their society to scare little human children fall in love with a little human girl who steals their hearts.

Harry Potter (2001)

Harry Potter is a Movie series that serves as a world classic. With witches, wizards, ghosts and more this is a movie that will serve all of your Halloween needs.

Well there you have it, those are some of my favorite movies to watch in October and get me in the Halloween spirit. Comment down below what you think of my Halloween list, and what some of your favorite Halloween movies to watch are!
