[Entertainment] Desus and Mero Make Their Return To Late Night with New Showtime Show

The brand is still brolic and the number one show in all of late night will make it’s triumphant return to television at 11 p.m. on Showtime.

Desus and the Kid Mero have been on hiatus since their Viceland show wrapped up this past summer, but will be returning to television tonight. The comedy duo has had quiet the rise to stardom after initially getting their start on Twitter. Starting with a podcast for Complex, their success quickly transferred into an online digital show, followed by their Viceland show which ran for almost two years.

Their brand of humor on the show is casual riffing on viral videos, trends, pop culture, and sports, all mixed with a New Yorkian flare. This Showtime deal is a new peak that the pair has surmounted, but their style of comedy has remained the same throughout. The format of the show will still be similar with minor adjustments; the two will still have on illustrious guests to interview, but the show will run weekly compared to daily. Tonight the Bodega Boys will have on Congresswomen Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, a fellow Bronx native. It should be fun to see what questions they throw at her on the debut show.
