[ENTERTAINMENT] [NEWS] TINDER HAS A NEW SAFETY FEATURE

Tinder has created a new feature that allows women to have more security when looking for dates.

The dating app has a trial occurring in India currently and they have hopes of rolling the function out globally very soon. This new mode which is called “My Move” allows only women to be able to make the first move.  Yes ladies, the ball is finally in your court. This feature will allow women to chose an option which states that only they are able to start a conversation with a male match.

The trial in India has been taking place for several months now. What is very interesting is that Tinder’s rival Bumble has already launched a feature that allows women in heterosexual matches to start conversations. According to general manager for Tinder owner match group in India, Taru Kapoor,  the reason the trial has been rooted in India is because of the apps attempt to attract more females by making them feel both comfortable and secure. He states that “at Tinder, we are constantly evolving our platform to help create a low-pressure environment where our users feel in charge of the connections they make”. He also states that they are “a platform based on mutual respect, consent, and choice”.

This new feature gives women the power to control their experiences which is something I feel will make many females around the world empowered and safe.

Make sure you comment down below and let us know if you would use this feature on Tinder!
