[MUSIC] WHO HAD THE BEST COLLAB ALBUM IN THE PAST YEAR

The past year and a half collab projects have been kinda trendy whether its two famous artist working together or an artist and a producer working together. Some have done amazing while others have flopped. This got me thinking which collab would take it all in a tourmant? Between Future and Young Thug ” Super Slimey”, Travis Scott and Quavo ” Huncho Jack, Jack Huncho”, Kanye West and Kid Cudi ” Kids See Ghosts”, 21 Savage, Offset & Metro Boomin ” Without Warning”, with several others that I will touch upon in other post.

All of these collab albums were met with positive and negative reviews. Future and Young Thug surprise album was want many people wanted but this album is not what we asked for. On ” Super Slimey” Future and Thug coexistent on it but they aren’t at their peak.  This album was a syrupy Auto-tune, expensive timepieces, and double cups talk. To me after a while it started to sound like they put very little work in making it.

Travis Scott & Quavo probably had the best album, but it wasnt the best they could do. This album is what you expect from two of the most influencing artist in the game right now. The beats were amazing the ad-lib slapped on every track and thee flows were amazing. But the lyrics left a lot to be desired and many times it felt like Travis was taking a backseat to Quavo whether that was planned or not remains to be the question. In all it was a decent collab album but it could have been way better.

Without Warning is a Zone 6 album for sure. The dark nature with 21 savage rapping about guns and having people mommy crying to Offset telling people he the boogie man in real life, kinda lets you in on what the trenches out there are like. But they did give us the Ric Flair drip we all desperately needed. This album has very little replay value but it was good for the moment.

Now “Kids see Ghost” is the album most of need because who doesn’t relive a little bit of stress when they hear Kid Cudi humming. The album kinda brought Kid Cudi back onto the scene and with Ye producing it was a match made in heaven. The bars slapped, the beats slapped, the flow slaps, but the only problem is, it’s a mood album. That means you have to be in certain kind of mood aka( depressed or anxiety going crazy) for you to really be in tune with the vibe. This album has replay value but you can’t listen to it everyday, unless your life is a wreck.

Theres many collab albums that i havent touched upon and many coming out this year that we are excited for. But in all the recent and most notable ones leave a lot to be desired. Let me know your thoughts on these albums, which ones your enticed to see happening and which ones you want to happen.
