XXL has opened up the voting for the tenth spot on this years freshman class. The voting started yesterday and will end next Monday at midnight. Some of the artists that are in the running for the coveted last spot in include: Blueface, Bhad Bhabie, Flipp Dinero, Gunna, Juice Wrld, Matt Ox, Rico Nasty, Sheck Wes, and a plethora of other names.
The voting can be done through the website that you can find by clicking here, or by using the official hashtag on social media with #XXLFreshman. The tenth spot vote is a relatively new addition to the list, with past winners including Iggy Azalea, Lil Yachty, and XXXTentacion.
After giving the list a quick glance, I would say the betting favorite right now has to be Juice Wrld. No one off that list had more success than Juice last year. He had two monster hits with “Lucid Dreams” and “All Girls Are The Same,” and dropped his second studio album earlier this month.
The sleeper in the group is Blueface. He’s currently sitting in the top 50 on Spotify with the no-so-catchy, yet somehow extremely catchy hit “Thotiana.” His music makes zero sense from a practical perspective, off beat, sloppy production, but the man somehow pulls it off.
