Gabrielle Union and Dwyane Wade Welcome First Child Together
On Thursday, Wade and his wife actress Gabrielle Union, announced that they’ve welcomed a beautiful bundle of joy into the world. Wade has three sons from previous relationships, this is the couple’s first child together.
“11/7 will forever be etched in our hearts as the most loveliest of all the lovely days”. Union shared on Instagram.
The couple has spent several years trying to have a child of their own. In the past Union have open up and shared their struggles throughout that process.
In her book, We’re Going to Need More Wine, she revealed that she suffered as many as nine miscarriages throughout the years.
“For three years, my body has been a prisoner of trying to get pregnant—I’ve either been about to go into an IVF cycle, in the middle of an IVF cycle, or coming out of an IVF cycle.”
But she got even more candid about her infertility struggles at this year’s BlogHer conference in August. “Towards the end of my fertility journey I finally got some answers, because everyone said, ‘You’re a career woman, you’ve prioritized your career, you waited too long and now you’re just too old to have a kid — and that’s on you for wanting a career. The reality is I actually have adenomyosis [a condition where the inner lining of the uterus breaks through the muscle wall of the uterus],” she said
Even opening up on Dr. Oz Show revealing that she had gone through 8 or 9 miscarriages. “So I was always having these early miscarriages some through IVF and some just… you know naturally happening on our own,” she said.
Despite the challenges faced, the couple never lost hope. Congratulations to Mr and Mrs.Wade on welcoming their new precious bundle of joy.
