[NEWS] WHEN THE PARTY GETS A LITTLE TOO LIT

Talk about house party gone wrong.

The Kappa Alpha Psi fraternity at Clemson University got their annual homecoming party cut short when the floor decided to give way.

Luckily none of the injuries sustained were life threatening when the floor collapsed from the common area into the basement of the apartment complex located off campus. 23 people had to be taken to the hospital in result of the collapse. This gruesome event was caught on camera showing students plummet to the ground unexpectedly.

A few students were interviewed after the party giving a brief recollection of the events that had taken place prior to the collapse. Larissa Stone, interviewed by Greenville News told reporters that the beat had been about to drop when the floor collapsed. She explained that people were hurt and bleeding. “I had blood on my sneakers. It was really bad” she recalled.

Another student, Leroy Pearson, told a local news station that “Everybody was jumping, next thing you know… I can feel myself falling.” Pearson also told the channel that he blacked out and the girls at the party had blood all over their faces when he came to.

Jim Clements, Clemson University President, tweeted explaining that the entire student support system would be available for any students impacted by the traumatic event.

As for why the floor gave in, there is still no explanation. Police have started an investigation of Woodlands of Clemson University apartment complex, the location where the party took place which was just built in 2004.

If this doesn’t make you think twice when attending a college house party I don’t know what does. Thankfully all of the injuries were minor and no lives were lost, considering the outcome could have been a lot worse. Make sure you comment down below your thoughts and opinions on the topic.
