Shacar, the emergent yet iconic Florida born artist drops another melancholic record titled “Ghost”, instead this time it is backed by cinematic visuals; filmed by Peter Pascucci who has directed music videos for major acts such as Lil Durk, Future, Ty Dolla Signs, and J Cole. Pascucci uses the talented vocalists sing-song approach to his advantage, by placing Shacar in the shoes of an old-school charmer crooning his tune to a former lover.
The visual of Shacar lying in a bathtub of blood presents a German Romantic theme, a time when ones would commit suicide in honor of their lover. Furthermore, Santos, the featured artist on the record cannot be overlooked while spread across jagged rocks, kicking his verse. A majority of the video takes place within the Village Vanguard, the iconic venue where Jazz acts such as John Coltrane performed in the 60’s, fitting the Jazzy like vibe of “Ghost”, produced by Florida’s PointBlank.
For those unfamiliar with his work, Shacar has been featured on Apple Music’s Beats 1 radio, has been the face of Obama’s My Brother’s Keeper Alliance, been seen in Off-broadway productions such as The Lost Orphans and Outsiders. With his latest release “Ghost”, Shacar’s journey is only being followed in his own pursuit where he has become a recognizable voice and influence within brand marketing campaigns, hip hop culture and social change.
In addition to the video release, the track itself is now available for stream and download through all major digital retailers via NJ indie label Sloppy Vinyl.
